for post-mortem.
"One of the 18 bodies brought to the Lahad Datu Hospital resembled Musa," said ASP Hussien Omar Khan, the head of Forensics for Ops Daulat.
He said the bodies of the militants, brought from Kampung Tanjung Batu in Felda Sahabat that is situated about 130km from here, had decomposed but a post-mortem would be carried out by a Pathologist from the Penang Hospital.
Musa, the leader of the Sulu militant group that intruded Malaysian waters and entered Kampung Tanduo, had entered Kampung Tanjung Batu before he was killed in a battle which also saw 31 other militants killed.
Lahad Datu police chief Supt Shamsudin Mat said although those killed were enemies of the country, prayers would be performed on a date that has yet to be confirmed.
"Since they too are Muslims, we have a responsibility to perform the prayers before their burial," he said. BERNAMA
